Nanocomposite Polymer Blends

Nanoparticles are used for manipulating the morphology of immiscible polymer blends. The goal is designing multiphase polymer nanocomposites with improved performances. Particular attention is devoted to the ability of nanoparticles in promoting/stabilizing co-continuous microstructures. One of the possible implications of technological relevance is the possibility to enhance the high temperature creep resistance of polymers with low heat deflection temperature, such as polyolefins, bioplastics, recycled plastics.
