Materials Engineering

The activities mainly concern polymers and nanoparticles, which are functionalized/modified/mixed together, aiming at producing new technologically relevant materials. Part of studies concern the control of the crystallinity and surface features of bio-polymeric films, the definition of innovative techniques for materials characterization, and the exploration of new viable routes to improve/control the dispersion of nanometric particulate inside macromolecular host matrices
