The Industrial Catalysis group is focused on the study and development of novel catalytic processes. The main research areas are:

  • High Pressure Catalytic Combustion
    • Study of the performances of catalytic combustors at high pressure and identification of operative maps
    • Development of innovative reactor configurations
  • Catalytic preferential oxidation of CO in H2-rich streams
    • Chemical and physical characterization of new catalytic formulation
    • Development of kinetic mechanisms
    • Development of structured catalysts
    • Experimental and theoretical evaluation of the performances of catalytic reactors for CO preferential oxidation
  • Regeneration of catalytic traps for soot removal from Diesel exhaust gases
    • Development and validation of predictive CFD models
