2012 – Italian Delegate for the Management Committee of Action COST MP1105 – Sustainable Flame Retardancy for textiles and Related Materials based on nanoparticles Substituting Conventional Chemicals”; as such he:

1)    Coordinates the Working group 1 (WG1) – Novel Flame Retardants

2)     Organised, at the University of Naples (P.le tecchio 80, 80125 Naples), a workshop on “Multifunctional Textiles Based on Hybrid Coatings and nanoparticles” on 17/9/2013 (

2012 – Head “Pro tempore” (from 1/11/2012 to 31/12/2012) of the Department of materials and production Engineering (DIMP – Dipartimento di Ingegneria dei Materiali e della Produzione) – University of Naples “Federico II”

2008 (till 2012) – Italian Delegate for the Management Committee of Action COST MP0701 – “Composites with Novel Functional and Structural Properties by Nanoscale materials (Nano Composite materials – Ncm); as such he:

1)    Was the coordinator of the Committee for the Short term Scientific Missions

2)    Organized, at the University of Naples (P.le tecchio 80, 80125 Naples), a training School on “Synthesis of hybrid Organic-Inorganic Nanoparticles for innovative Nanostructured Composites” form 28/2/2011 to 2/3/2001

1999-2000 Coordinator of the Didactic Committee for Restructuring the Aerospace Engineering Degree Course (Bachelor + Master (3+2 years) instead of the  traditional Course on 5 years)
